The Following Story is from Associated Content and sponsored by SMS

Good marketing requires more than just developing a good product, pricing it attractively, and placing it to make it easily and readily available for purchase by customers. It also requires effective communication with all targeted present and potential consumers to bring about or encourage consumption / purchase of our product(s) and service(s): that is, good marketing requires good promotion as well.

And, effective and good promotion of our product and services must take place at all stages of the consumption / buying process, namely: the pre-selling, the selling, the consumption, and the post-consumption stages - and, it can take any one or a mixture (”promotional mix”) of the following main forms of communication, namely:

1. Advertising - Any paid form of non-personal presentation and promotion of products;

2. Sales promotion - A variety of short-term incentives to encourage trial or purchase of a product;

3. Public relations and publicity - A variety of programs designed to promote a firm's product(s) or to protect its image;

4. Personal selling - Face-to-face interaction with one or more prospective buyers for the purpose of making presentations, answering questions, and procuring orders;

5. Direct (and interactive) marketing - Use of mail, flyer, telephone, fax, e-mail, SMS or Internet to communicate directly with or solicit response or dialogue from specific or potential customers

In each of the five(5) main forms/platforms of communication, there are various tools available for our creative use, namely:

Advertising

Print & broadcast

Posters, banners

Signboards

Display signs

Point-of-purchase display

Brochures, booklets

You will note that the above Table shows the availability of both the traditional communication tools (newspapers, magazines, radio, telephone, television, billboards and the likes) as well as the newer communication tools (computers, fax machine, cellular phones, SMS, other wireless applications and the likes).

Nevertheless, apart from the above “promotional mix” of the five (5) main communication means, it is important to recognize that a marketer or his marketing firm also communicates with its customers in other ways - its stationery, the mannerism and dressing of its staff, the decor and overall impression of its office, the general landscaping of the real estate development he/it is marketing, its external façade, appearance and colour choice, etc. all speak something about the marketer, his firm and the likely quality of the products and services being marketed.

To achieve optimum marketing results, the main “promotional mix” must always be integrated with these other communication signals and the other 3Ps in the marketing mix (product, price and place) as well as the 3 Psof good services (people quality, physical evidence and process). Periodic reviews / audits of all the firm's likely communication interfaces with its potential market must also be carried out to assess which interfaces (impressions and experiences) have the most influence at each stage of the consumption/buying process. This will then help us to prioritise the allocation of marketing dollars and attention to achieve optimum results and success.

ABUBAKAR MARKET by Iris <off >

This Blog Post is from Associated Content and sponsored by Oregon

Email marketing as a sub range of direct marketing designates the production of receivers defined of advertising messages and information and their dispatch on the screens by an enterprise or an organization. The email is used as transmission path in the context of customer communication. The professional employment of the dialogue instrument is characterized in this connection by the fact that the receivers must have conveyed expressly their agreement to the sender for address use and for the receipt of the messages.

Advantages of email marketing

Communication by email offers certainly a set of advantages, which should be considered during marketing planning.

Small costs: A substantial part of the costs is caused in classical marketing by the organization, production and the dispatch by means of publicity (postal Mailings, brochures, catalogs etc.). These costs are void with the employment of email marketing. Naturally costs here arise for software licenses and fees for the organization as well as the integration of email texts, for services the costs are for answering and evaluating of emails, and at last email lists provider fees. According to expert opinion this method can reduce the costs on the average 20 per cent in relation to the expenditures for classical marketing methods.

Interactive facility: Contrary to classical information media or mail, email marketing offers direct feedback possibilities: Customers can give orders up immediately or send demands to email information. Interactive elements such as inquiries can be realized fast. Thus it presents itself for example, to customers, who were informed by e-mail about new products to ask whether this kind of the advertisement is accepted by them - thus scattering losses can be avoided.

High Response: How it is simple and comfortable to click on a hyperlink in an email or a newsletter and the Response rates usually lie clearly over those classical mailing campaigns.

Speed: Contrary to classical information media, it is possible to provide fast use-oriented message with small production costs through email marketing. The short duration of the dispatch of information up to the realization of the results, permits beyond that a short term estimation of the success of the measures.

Precise marketing Control: With the classical Mailing the success measurement is frequently complex. Marketing successes are to be assigned with many actions sometimes only inaccurately.

Differently with email marketing measuring the result is not as difficult as classical mailing advertisement, for example the number of emails, the number of the back runners, already dispatched, the number of clicks on hyperlinks in the email, the registration rate as well as the clicking and opening rates of an expenditure for new type character. Up to date statistics and data over market and customer behavior make it so possible to adapt information and product offers still more exactly the needs of the target groups.

So I think email marketing is an essential for businesses especially online ones nowadays according to the factors which I mentioned before.

Zeep Mobile - Step 3 by Todd Barnard

The Following Story is from Associated Content and sponsored by Marketing

What is SMS? I expect that the vast majority of readers understand what SMS is. For those new to SMS, it stands for Short Messaging Service and uses something called GSM to send and receive messages between mobile devices. What GSM is and how it works is not covered within the scope of this article, but for the sake of completeness here is its definition in Wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GSM.So what is mobile marketing?

Mobile marketing is the use of one or more mobile technologies to promote one or more services or products. How this promotion works and what it achieves depends on the thing you want to promote, the audience you are targeting and any other marketing factors. This is discussed in more detail later in this paper.SMS and mobile marketing

Hopefully by now you understand the principals of SMS and the concept of mobile marketing. If not don't worry just Google the term “mobile marketing defined” and look SMS up in Wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMS.

I use Eventmobilemarketingblog.com to keep up with the enormous volume of mobile marketing news. They are dedicated to the review of cutting edge mobile related material throughout the Internet just go ahead and add their RSS to your reader now — trust me, you'll thank me later.Why should I use SMS for marketing?

To understand this I need to walk you through a couple of marketing scenarios. If you have ever worked with affiliate promotions or email marketing you will know that follow up and incentives are essential to success, the problem often encountered by these types of marketing is that they are difficult to measure, often rejected automatically and it can take some time to receive a reply. So how can you efficiently follow up on traditional marketing?

In fact all other forms of marketing offer opportunities to get your message out there but they are neither personal nor instant. SMS text messaging is instant; it is delivered into the hands of your target audience. Text messages are opened more often than not and the vast majority of phones only show a summary of the first line of the message. SMS mobile marketing can be personal; it can reach them wherever they are and at any time of the day.

Knowing that your audience will read the first 5 to 10 words is a great advantage because:

  • You can write an effective introduction to your message body
  • You can make your responses even more targeted by using exclusive terms like “Agricultural sale this weekend!” or “Are you a marketer… boo!”
  • You can include personal details, such as their name, from your automated profiling campaigns — this will be discussed in my next article “Viral SMS mobile marketing”

Many customers say to me “But I have received SMS promotions myself and they were awful!!!” My reply is “Great.” I think it is a good thing that the reputation of SMS is negative - if other people in your market are doing it badly then you can make an incredible impact by doing it well.Who's it for?

Without a doubt SMS mobile marketing is the cheapest form of viral and direct marketing available - excluding email of course. In essence mobile marketing IS for everyone, but the recipe and message flow varies greatly depending on the following;

  • Who you are targeting? Because SMS is so personal you can win or lose leads very quickly.
  • How much you are willing to spend? As you would expect contacting more people incurs more cost.
  • What can you offer? Your products will influence your campaign strategies.
  • What is your campaign designed to achieve? For example text for a call back, brochure, email or a link to a WAP ecommerce site.

Starting your first campaign

It would require hundreds of pages and diagrams to cover every possible SMS campaign strategy, message flow and follow up marketing factors. Not to mention the vast array of functionality SMS mobile marketing service providers offer.

I recommend signing up for a SMS mobile marketing free trial with TheTextWorks.com. They offer three great value packages designed for small to medium businesses within the UK so if nothing else it will be a good introduction. On sign up their support team ran me through a detailed demonstration of what the software can achieve and how it is applicable to my business needs.Part 2: SMS mobile marketing liberation

Keep your eye out for the next article in my Mobile Marketing series “Viral SMS mobile marketing”. And I may even produce some more in the near future (hint).

Until then stay focussed and have a productive day - Phil Robinson.

Successful market and big paychecks are just the things that every affiliate marketer wants to have in their online business. But the main point, it is not easy to have these things they wanted. Primarily it takes time to have a successful market online and actually it is very complicated knowing that there a lot of scams happened in online market. All you have to do is to have a basic knowledge on marketing skills and practices and must have to dedicate your time and effort to make a successful business online.

Several schemes in online marketing started a long time ago and still continue to strive through online affiliate markets today. How did they do it? There three amazing tips in online markets that are listed on the next paragraphs. This will help you to increase your sales and endure in online markets.

First, an affiliate online marketer must create a unique web page to endorse the products when doing market online. Never do frugality in your web hosting just to save money. An affiliate online marketer must focus on their site and must update their products every now and then. Always takes in to an account the reviews of the product in your website so that a lot of visitors will have a basic understanding on the products you are endorsing. Not only that, includes testimonials on your website. This is also one of the ways that buyers will purchase your products and eventually they will be convinced. You have to make an assurance that these buyers are willing to allow their personal photos and names to be endorsed in your site. Another, money can also earn through highlighting the use of the items you are endorsing in the article you post. Don't forget to include additional pages such as contact information and attractive headlines in order to convince more readers on your page.

Second, you must provide free reports to the visitors. Positioning this additional free information on top of your page is more reliable so that it can't be missed by the readers while reading your page. Autoresponders on the other hand are also necessary. Based on the research findings, during the seventh contact with a prospect usually the sale will be closed.

Moreover, a closed sale and a prospect that leaves your page and never return are the only two things that can be feasibly happened. Therefore, it is very essential to place useful information to information box in a certain time and tell them all over again about the specified product. Never have a “sales pitch” style of information. Focus more on the important things that will help the endorsement of your products.

Lastly, you must be knowledgeable enough to know on what kind of traffic that your product is being target. Do more articles on e-reports and e-zines. Through this technique, you can locate more publications that focus more on the target visitors.

I challenge you. Write 2-3 original articles per week with at least 300-500 words. By doing such writing stuff you can persuade more readers to your page in just one day. Don't ever forget that only 1 out of 100 visitors will likely purchase your product and your services. In a particular sense, basing on the average statistic, you can only have 10 sales.

The techniques mentioned above are not really difficult only if you spend time and effort on doing these certain things. You can have a good business market online and survive. Just put in to your account the high income you will earn on these. Go and start now.

A quick shout out to Coupons for sponsoring this Associated Content Post!

The state of Latin American mobile marketing is incredibly complex, with brands clamoring to use a marketing medium that few truly understand and mobile experts such as yesterday's panelists struggling to find the best ways to deliver content, integrate the media, and monetize the platform across a geographic territory that is anything but hegemonous.

The session on Latin American mobile also revealed many of the key differences between mobile marketing and technology in that territory and North American markets.

First, the sheer number of carriers in most South and Central American countries far outstrips what one would see in other areas; Eugenio Velasco , mobile services director at Grupo Televisa, mentioned that the number of carriers in Mexico had recently dropped from 90 to 40. Raul Aristud of Ansible Mobile speculated that this factor is the reason single-carrier countries such as Japan are so relatively advanced; the on-deck software becomes universal and allows for universal adoption of technologies such as 2D codes, mobile ticketing and commerce, etc.

And the carriers in Latin America operate very differently from North American or European companies. All of the panelists mentioned the difference of carriers' attitudes in these markets, stating a need for diplomacy and patience when trying to acheive mobile marketing initiatives.

Rene Rodriguez, senior director of business development for WWE, noted the operational challenges of scaling and adapting mobile marketing across a wide range of Latin American cultures with different languages, idioms, celebrities, brands, etc. “Just be very, very patient,” he said.

Rodriguez was also the first panelist to mention the WAP issue. “The reality,” he said, “is that the technology is not there yet.” For the present, in Latin America, WAP sites do not work for mobile marketing. Rodriguez stated that because WAP site traffic is low, brands will not put money into advertising in that space. He sees standard SMS as the best way to reach consumers with a message. The other panelists all voiced similar assesments with varying degrees of condemnation, the most optimistic being “Maybe WAP will happen next year.”

Overall, there's incredible growth in content consumption for music, video, and promotions. Mobile Is being used to foster interaction and create communities around brands that are well-established in traditional media. Javier Mary, head of online products for Yell Argentina, showcased some exciting, forward-looking offerings in local marketing/search, such as previews of shows, photos of restaurant interiors, mobile ticketing, proximity marketing using Bluetooth technology, and some really innovative ideas for using 2D codes to retrieve records and other information.

Ultimately, said Aristud, the big global brands and agencies want to create rich, “juicy” mobile content; the main challenge for marketers in Latin Amercia is working with mobile carriers, which takes a lot of time and which may involve a lot of refusals and rejections before a new technology or strategy is adopted.

ATT Text Jumbli Live in Times Square by mobilebehavior

Thanks to Coupons for sponsoring the following blog post

 I have a friend who moved to Eugene, Oregon from Nebraska - by way of Southern California. She says the biggest change she’s noticed in herself is the taste she’s developed for micro brews and her intolerance for any beers she can see through. Eugene has its share of quaint and bustling brew pubs - cozy establishments where you can meet some friends for burgers and a plate of nachos and sample some delicious locally-brewed suds on tap.

One of the better known brew pubs in Eugene is Steelhead Brewing Company (www.steelheadbrewery.com) at 199 E. 5th Street - across from the 5th Street Market. Featuring fresh beer bubbling away in large shiny tanks you can see from the restaurant, Steelhead serves up award winning micro brews with a full menu. There is a good-size bar serving “spirits” as well. Seating is both indoors and a covered outdoor area - complete with heaters during cooler weather. This is a restaurant taken over on “game day” when the Oregon Ducks are playing, but a fine place to meet for the business lunch or the cool pint after work.

For a funkier experience - and not exactly a brew pub, but a Eugene restaurant with a fine changing selection of Northwest micro brews on tap - try the Cornucopia at 295 West 17th. (eugenecatering.com/cornucopia-menus.html) This is an eating establishment tucked into a neighborhood in what used to be a corner market and it has a cozy neighborhood feel to it. Extremely casual, don’t expect stellar service and do expect to shoulder your way up to the tiny bar to request a refill on your pint, but it is a great place to while away a rainy afternoon sipping good beer. The menu features lunch and dinner and there are daily specials scrawled on a signboard at the curb. Seating is both indoors and an outdoor garden enclosure where there is the occasional live musical performance.

Located in an old craftsman-style house with lots of dark wood and a porch/garden seating area, the High Street Brewery and Café is a McMenamin’s Restaurant (http://www.mcmenamins.com/index/php?loc=19) centrally located between the University of Oregon and downtown Eugene. The address is 1243 High Street and there is both street parking and parking in back of the establishment. The High Street Brewery boasts a menu with weekly food specials and adequately tasty “pub food,” but it is the original micro brews that make it worth the trip. A customer favorite is the cool “Ruby” ale, made from fresh, masticated raspberries. This pub collects an eclectic crowd of students and regulars and is extremely casual.

One of the newer pubs on the block (although it has been operating under various proprietors/names for the past decade or so) is the Rogue River Brewing Company, also known by its former name: Eugene City Brewing at 844 Olive Street. This brew pub is right downtown and within walking distance of the Hult Center, public library and other downtown activities. With 34 taps, this restaurant has a real Northwest feel to it and promotes a real micro-brew culture. There is a full menu and information about this and other Rogue ale houses is available at www.rogue.com/locations.eugene.html.

Finally, although also not an official brewing house, a new establishment that’s getting some good press is the Beer Stein Bottleshop & Pub (http://www.oregonbeer.org/retail.html) located at 345 E. 11th in what used to be a fresh pasta shop. With a few tables and a limited menu of grilled sandwiches and appetizer plates, this is truly the place to come for the beer. There is an extensive bottle collection (bottles of beer from all over the world) and rotating beers available on tap. This place can get pretty busy and there is a discount for purchasing bottles to take home. But, if you’re in the mood to sample and experience a pub vibe with other beer-lovers, this is a good place to go.

If you’re new to Eugene or an old native, you have no excuse - get out and enjoy some of the flavors of our local brew pubs!

Ancient market place by John Glass

This Blog Post is from Associated Content and sponsored by Oregon

Email marketing is yet another way to advertise your business or service on the market. Email marketing uses email as a means to advertise a product or service. Today, every one of us uses email to communicate with our friends and loved ones. This is the reason why email marketing has been a great success on the internet. Email marketing is used very commonly to promote a one's service or business however due to the increase in spam email along with advertising mail, the email marketing method has noticed a considerable decrease in performance. The situation is so serious that if 10000 pieces of advertising emails are sent, just 6%-11% clicks were being generated.

Email marketing has some advantages and some disadvantages too. Let us take a look at these.

Advantages of Email Marketing

  1. In order to use email marketing you need to develop a mailing list of the people to whom you will be informing about your product or service. If you just started your business, then you will need to buy a list from an existing company that deals with it. The benefit of a mailing list is that you get potential customers at a very low cost.
  2. With email marketing you can easily track your customers and with the level of response you can predict the rate of return on your investment.
  3. Emails are very cheap compared to other means of promoting a business or service.
  4. With email marketing you get a selected number of customers. The positive aspect of this is that customers that are not interested are removed from your list keeping the positive essence of email marketing in the minds of people.
  5. Emails can be delivered within a few seconds. So you can always expect to receive some response within a day or two provided the email is genuine.
  6. The major advantage of email marketing is that it is environment friendly as it involves no use of paper.

Disadvantages of Email Marketing

  1. Many companies promote their product or service via Email marketing only but other companies send bulk emails with no aim of marketing. This has disappointed many people resulting in decreased performance of email marketing. Thus, email marketing is considered more to be a threat than doing anything good.
  2. Although, the email sent to the people carries an option to unsubscribe from the list, many of the companies go on sending the email again and again.
  3. With an increasing number of spam emails, it has become difficult for the users to differentiate between a genuine marketing email and a spam email.

You should take the proper steps to ensure 100% success of email marketing considering the current trend of the market where hundreds of spam emails are delivered to every email user.
